Are you using Metricool to schedule and measure your social media, and one thing is holding you back: competitor tracking, teamwork, client reports or price? Before you switch tools, it’s worth knowing what Metricool does well, where its plans stop, and which tool covers exactly what you’re missing.

In short

Metricool is still hard to beat for managing several brands on a small budget. The reasons to look elsewhere are specific: TikTok is missing from its competitor analysis, teamwork is reserved for the Advanced plan, and white label is priced on request. None of the tools in this list does everything better than Metricool: each one fixes one of these gaps.

Creadar is our product: we rated it with the same criteria as the other tools, and its limits are listed in its card.

What Metricool is

Metricool is a social media management tool that combines scheduling, analytics, reports, an inbox and competitor analysis. It connects to Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, Twitch and Google Business Profile, among others. It’s priced per brand: a brand stands for one company or client, with one profile per network.

Pricing: Free plan (1 brand, 20 scheduled posts per month, 5 competitor profiles, 30 days of history), Starter from $20/month billed yearly for 5 brands ($25 billed monthly), Advanced from $53/month billed yearly for 15 brands ($67 billed monthly), Custom on request. Prices exclude VAT (metricool.com/pricing), as listed in November 2026.

What Metricool does well

  • Price per brand. The Starter plan covers up to 5 brands for $20 per month excl. VAT billed yearly, about $4 per brand. For an agency running many small accounts, few tools come close to that cost.
  • A free plan with no time limit, usable for one brand.
  • Competitor analysis included: up to 100 competitors from Starter on Instagram, Facebook, Bluesky and Twitch.
  • PDF and PPT reports from Starter, with unlimited history on paid plans.
  • An MCP connector for querying your data from Claude or ChatGPT.

Who Metricool is still the right choice for: freelancers and small agencies that manage several brands on a tight budget, mostly post on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, and are fine with a simple competitor benchmark on those networks.

Why look for a Metricool alternative

These limits come from Metricool’s official pages, checked in November 2026.

  • TikTok is missing from competitor analysis. The Competitors page and the help center list Instagram, Facebook, Threads, Bluesky, Twitch, YouTube and X. TikTok isn’t there: you can publish to TikTok and measure your own accounts, without tracking your competitors’ accounts. On YouTube, analysis is capped at 10 competitors, on paid plans.
  • Competitor engagement is based on followers. Since the reach of their posts isn’t public, Metricool divides a competitor’s interactions by their follower count, according to its help center.
  • Teamwork starts with the Advanced plan. Team and client management, roles, post approval and customizable report templates require Advanced, from $53 per month excl. VAT billed yearly. White-label reports belong to the Custom plan, priced on request.
  • Paid add-ons. X (Twitter) costs $10 per month per connected account, and the advanced analytics add-on starts at $12 per month.

Metricool alternatives by use case

We kept tools that fix at least one of these limits and list a public price. Sprout Social isn’t included: its Professional plan, which adds extensive competitor insights, is listed at $299 per seat per month with annual billing (sproutsocial.com).

Creadar

Competitor video tracking on TikTok, Reels and Shorts

  • Instagram
  • TikTok
  • YouTube Shorts
  • Starting price €18/month

Creadar doesn’t publish or schedule anything: it isn’t a Metricool replacement. It covers the competitor tracking Metricool leaves out on TikTok: you add Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts accounts to watchlists, and every day Creadar flags the videos whose views or engagement reach 3 times the median of their creator’s last 20 videos.

Best for Agencies and creators who keep Metricool for publishing and want to closely track their competitors’ videos on TikTok, Reels and Shorts

Strengths

  • Tracking of competing TikTok accounts, which Metricool’s competitor analysis doesn’t cover
  • Each video compared with its own creator’s median, so small and large accounts become comparable
  • Automatic detection of the videos from tracked accounts that outperform
  • Read-only connector for Claude and ChatGPT on the Creator and Pro plans

Limitations

  • No publishing, scheduling or inbox: it doesn’t replace Metricool
  • No keyword search or account discovery: Creadar only analyzes accounts added to a watchlist
  • Daily data collection; on YouTube, Shorts only
  • No team workspace or client reports
  • No AI explanation of why a video worked, and no scripts
  • New product

Pricing Starter at €18/month (1 watchlist, 10 tracked creators), Creator at €35/month (2 watchlists, 30 creators, Claude and ChatGPT connector), Pro at €95/month (unlimited watchlists, 100 creators). Billed yearly: €180, €348 and €948 per year. One-time free preview of 3 accounts, no credit card required. Public pricing, November 2026

TikTok videos from the Beauty watchlist in Creadar, above 3 times their creator’s median
“Beauty and skincare” watchlist in Creadar, TikTok videos above 3 times their creator’s median in views or engagement, since September 20, 2026.

At the top of this watchlist of French-speaking TikTok accounts: two videos from @alaiadiary, at 103.6x and 37.5x the median of the account’s last 20 videos, then one from @chachou.core at 28.3x its own. Each multiplier is read against the creator’s own baseline, whatever the size of the account.
