Tracking a TikTok competitor by hand, opening their profile every morning, doesn’t hold up for long: you miss performance spikes, you keep no history, and you never know whether a video actually “did well” or just got a few more views than the last one. A competitor analysis tool solves this: it captures posts automatically and measures each one against the account’s norm. This comparison covers six tools you can actually use in 2026, with their prices and their limits.

What to look for in a TikTok competitor analysis tool
Before comparing features, ask yourself what makes a competitor’s video worth your attention. A good tool should cover four concrete needs.
Outperformance detection that goes beyond raw numbers. A competitor with 500,000 followers who gets 2 million views may be well within their norm; a competitor with 5,000 followers who gets 80,000 views may have struck a chord. What matters is the gap from the account’s median.
Ongoing tracking, with no manual exports. A spreadsheet updated once a week captures neither spikes nor trends. The tool should pull in new posts on its own, on a regular schedule.
Multiple platforms if your competitors are on them. Many TikTok accounts repost their videos as Reels and Shorts. A single-platform tool only gives you part of the picture of what really works for them.
Automatic detection. If you have to check every account yourself, you’ll miss the window when you can still jump on an emerging trend. It’s better when the tool shows you every day the videos that stand out.
How we chose
The tools on this list support structured tracking of competitor accounts on TikTok, plus TikTok Creative Center, included as a free complement. We left out ad-only tools (spy tools for TikTok Ads creatives), which don’t track organic accounts. We also left out Metricool: according to its help center, its competitor analysis covers Facebook, Instagram, Threads, Bluesky, Twitch, YouTube and X, but not TikTok. Prices are as of October 2026. Creadar is our product: we rated it with the same criteria as the other tools, and its limits are listed in its card.
The best TikTok competitor analysis tools
Creadar
Outlier detection by watchlist, every day
- TikTok
- YouTube Shorts
- Starting price €18/month
Creadar lets you build watchlists of Instagram, TikTok and YouTube Shorts accounts that you pick yourself, then automatically shows which videos stand out. A video is flagged as an outlier when its views or engagement reach 3 times the median of the creator’s last 20 eligible videos, so the threshold adapts to each account instead of relying on a market average.
Best for Solo creators and social media managers who already have a list of competitors to watch and want a clear signal instead of a dashboard to interpret
Strengths
- Multi-platform watchlists in a single view
- Automatic outlier detection with no setup
- Engagement rate, calculated as (likes + comments) ÷ views × 100, put in context against the creator’s own history
- Competitors’ outperforming videos flagged automatically
- Read-only connector to query your tracked accounts from Claude or ChatGPT (Creator and Pro plans)
Limitations
- Creadar tracks the accounts you give it; it has no keyword search to discover unknown competitors across TikTok
- No AI script generation: the tool spots the signal, you write the content
- New product, with less of a public track record than older players
Pricing Starter at €18/month (10 tracked creators, 1 watchlist), Creator at €35/month (30 creators, 2 watchlists, Claude/ChatGPT access), Pro at €95/month (100 creators, unlimited watchlists). One-time free preview of 3 accounts, no credit card required. Public pricing, October 2026

Sandcastles
Channel discovery by niche + scripts
- TikTok
- YouTube
- Starting price $49/month ($39/month billed yearly)

Best for Creators and small agencies who want to spot outliers and produce scripts in the same tool
Strengths
- Channel search by niche, beyond the accounts you already know
- Built-in script generator
- MCP connector for AI assistants and strategy audits included starting with the Pro plan
Limitations

Automated research agents that run nonstop
- TikTok
- YouTube
- Starting price $49/month ($34/month billed yearly)

Best for Agencies managing several client accounts that want to automate competitor research niche by niche
Strengths
- Automated agents that keep searching even while you’re offline
- A database of more than 14 million outlier videos already indexed
- Dedicated pages by use case (agencies, e-commerce, UGC)

- Built mostly for multi-client agencies rather than a solo creator tracking two or three competitors
